2023 IACMR Conference General Information
A. Attend Sessions and Conference Program
- Admittance to all sessions will be limited to registered conference participants. Please wear your conference badge at all times.
- Session information can be found on the online program (https://www.xcdsystem.com/iacmr/program/vVLDTC9/index.cfm), and you can use the “search/filter” function to find specific sessions.
- You can build your personal itinerary on the Conference Mobile APP, which can be downloaded from the Apple Store and Google Play by searching “IACMR 2023”. The APP login account and password are the same as your IACMR member account (email) password. If you forget your password, you can visit https://www.xcdsystem.com/iacmr/member to reset your password, or enter your member account email and click on “EMAIL ME MAGIC LINK”.
B. Conference Language
- The official languages of the conference are English and Chinese.
- All sessions on English tracks (Micro-English and Macro-English) will be in English, and all sessions on Chinese tracks (Micro-Chinese and Macro-Chinese) will be delivered in Chinese.
- All keynote sessions and the Dean’s Forum will be in English, while the China Forum will be in Chinese.
- For PDWs, please check on program for the language each session.
C. Speak on the Conference
- You can find your session information by searching for your name under “Speakers” on the online program (https://www.xcdsystem.com/iacmr/program/vVLDTC9/index.cfm?pgid=31) in the side menu.
- If you will be presenting in a paper session, symposium, or workshop, please download the PPT template at https://eng.iacmr.org/2023-iacmr-ppt-template/ and save your slides to a USB drive. You can upload your file in the Speakers Room (AAB 612,HKBU) during open hours (8:00am – 6:00pm) from June 14-18. Alternatively, you can transfer your slides to the meeting room computer 5 minutes before your session starts. To ensure smooth playback, please also save a PDF version of your presentation as a backup. We advise NOT to use your own laptop due to potential connection issues.
- Roundtable sessions do not require slides. However, please be prepared for an oral discussion.
D. Conference Registration
All attendees must register. Identification (name) badges are required for admission to all sessions and activities. Pre-registered attendees may pick up their registration packets at the Registration Counter, AAB Podium 3 Floor, HKBU campus. Onsite registration will be open from June 14 to 18, and the Registration Counter will be open as follows:
June 14 (Wed) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 11:00 – 21:00
June 15 (Thu) – AAB Podium 3 Floor,08:00 – 18:00
June 16 (Fri) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 18:00
June 17 (Sat) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 18:00
June 18 (Sun) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 11:00
E. Spouses/ friends
Spouse/ friends registration open onsite (HKD 1500/person) at the Registration counter. Spouses / friends who are not IACMR Members are provided with a name badge and given access, with spouses/ friends conference registration, to the Conference limited to the two receptions and coffee breaks Exhibitions and Award ceremonies.
Note: Spouse/ friends are not permitted to enter the conference area or attend academic sessions. If a guest wishes to attend the conference sessions and events, the guest must pay the registration fee.
There is a limit of 1 (one) guest per registered attendee. Children under the age of 16 do not require a name badge and must be supervised at all times.
F. Exhibits
Publishers’ exhibits are located at AAB Podium 3 Floor, and the exhibit areas are open during the following hours:
June 15 (Thu) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 18:00
June 16 (Fri) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 18:00
June 17 (Sat) – AAB Podium 3 Floor, 08:00 – 18:00
G. Message and Information Counter
The Message and Information Counter is located at the same place as the Registration Counter and is open during the following hours:

I. Photocopy and Printing Center
There is no photocopy and printing service on campus. Please go to the stationary store off campus. For example, Lok Fu Place.
J. Lost and Found
Lost and Found can be reached at the Message and Information Counter during the service hour
K. Lunch Information
You are responsible to buy your own lunches during conference time. You are welcome to have lunch at the following locations.
*Please be noted most of the restaurants only accepts cash or Octopus (八达通卡),please be prepared.

L. Arriving Hong Kong
There are plenty of ways to get around Hong Kong, whether it’s by taxi, ferry, rail, bus or tram. The city claims one of the world’s safest, most efficient and frequent public transport systems and there are multiple convenient payment methods in the form of cash, Octopus Card and e-Wallet.
