2025 HKUST AMRC Call
November 1, 2024
Dear Colleagues,
We are writing to request your submission of papers for presentation and discussion at the 7th Asian Management Research Consortium (AMRC), scheduled to take place at HKUST Business School in Hong Kong on May 16-17, 2025. This year’s conference will be hosted at HKUST Business School with Yaping Gong as conference chair, Pavel Zhelyazkov as macro track chair and Ellick Wong as micro track chair. In addition to regular paper sessions, the event will feature a doctoral consortium, an opening plenary session on “Creativity and Innovation in the Era of AI”, and a closing plenary session on “Doing Management Research in Asia.”
This event is an exclusive, “by invitation only” gathering with the primary objective of providing opportunities for receiving feedback on ongoing research. It is designed to serve the needs of fellow colleagues in Asian business schools who are actively involved in management research. In addition, doctoral students are encouraged to apply for a doctoral consortium scheduled on the first morning of the program.
We welcome papers:
• at various stages of development, and early-stage manuscripts are particularly welcome.
• from any area of management such as Entrepreneurship, International Business, Organizational Behaviour and Strategy.
• using any methodology, such as large sample empirical analysis, qualitative research, experiments, and modelling.
Please specify whether your paper aligns better with the micro-track, which consolidates papers primarily analyzing individual, team, and group-level issues, or the macro-track, which centers on organizational and strategic matters. The submission deadline is 9:30AM on February 1st, 2025, Hong Kong Time.
To encourage active audience participation in paper discussions, we kindly ask that submitted papers do not exceed 40 pages (including title page and all figures, graphs, tables, appendices, and references). Please use Times New Roman 12-point font, double spaced, 1-inch (2.5 cm) margin all around, and A4-page setting. References may be single spaced.
Chosen papers will be presented in a format that maximizes the time available for discussion and feedback from assigned discussants drawn from participating schools. Please note that presenters of selected papers will be responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.
Submission instructions
Please e-mail your micro-track submissions to Ellick Wong <amrcob@ust.hk> and macro- track submissions to Pavel Zhelyazkov <amrcst@ust.hk>
Further information about the conference event itself will be provided at a later date.
