Second MOR International Conference and Paper Development Workshop

To facilitate the MOR’s mission to become a premier journal that provides ground-breaking insights about the organization and management in China and global comparable contexts, the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) and Management and Organization Review (MOR) will host a three-day conference from February 20 to 22, 2026, at the United Arab Emirates University, UAE.
The paper development workshop (PDW) will be led by Prof. Xiao-Ping Chen, Editor-in-Chief of MOR, and a group of deputy and senior editors of MOR. We encourage all IACMR members, especially doctoral students and junior faculty, to submit their complete papers to this conference/PDW. All selected participants will receive direct feedback from MOR editors in a small group setting, which is conducive to open discussion and instant feedback. While there is no obligation that the invited manuscript must be submitted to MOR, we strongly encourage the authors to do so. We plan to offer a fast-track review process for the submitted papers and publish them in a timely fashion once they meet the MOR publishing standards.
Submission Guidelines
We welcome any research papers related to the management and organization in China and global comparable contexts, in the area of organizational behaviour, human resource management, firm strategy, entrepreneurship, international business, family business, and technology and innovation. Given the location of the conference, we especially encourage submissions examining management phenomena across the MENA region, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America—regions that share comparable developmental contexts and institutional complexities with China. Please submit your full paper to Prof Kathy Ning Shen, email address ningshen@uaeu.ac.ae, by December 20, 2025. Please refer to the MOR Author Submission Guidelines to prepare your manuscript. Acceptance decision will be made by January 15, 2026. All submissions will be reviewed by the Review Committee.
Conference Format
To facilitate close personal engagement with, and feedback from, deputy and senior editors of MOR, space for this PDW is limited. We anticipate accepting between 30 to 40 papers for this conference, depending on the quality of the submissions. The conference will be conducted face-to-face at the United Arab Emirates University, Al Ain City, UAE. In an effort to make the event more inclusive, we might offer a session in a virtual format if necessary.
