Overview

Guided by the core values of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR)—Pursuit of Excellence, Source of Inspiration, Responsible Scholarship, Spirit of Service—the IACMR Career Development Seminar Series is dedicated to building a high-quality, open academic platform for exchange and mutual support.

To better serve our members and fulfill the association’s mission, and following extensive research and discussion, we have decided to integrate the former “IACMR Young Scholars Development Series” and “IACMR Women’s Development Seminar Series” into a newly launched initiative: the IACMR Career Development Seminar Series.

Held three times a year, this series is designed for scholars at all stages of their careers in management research, including senior scholars, early-career researchers, and doctoral students. Focusing on key areas such as career pathway navigation, work–family balance, academic mentorship and innovation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and international exchange, the series helps scholars grow continuously on their academic journey, broaden their horizons, strengthen their core competencies, and achieve sustained career advancement.

We hope the IACMR Career Development Seminar Series will serve not only as a platform for sharing knowledge and experience, but also as a home for the academic spirit—a place where colleagues can find resonance in ideas, strength to move forward, and long-lasting professional and academic connections.

Whether you are a new PhD student just beginning your academic journey, a junior faculty member navigating research challenges, or an established scholar facing career transitions or uncertainty, the IACMR Career Development Seminar Series sincerely welcomes your attention and participation.
