GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
¨ To develop and promote high quality management research in mainland China.
¨ To discuss key research design strategies and issues relevant for management research in mainland China.
¨ To identify core research agendas for future management research in mainland China.
¨ To provide feedback and guidance in writing papers for publication in top tier management journals.
¨ To form collaborative research teams on key management issues involving scholars from mainland and Hong Kong with those in other world centers.
¨ To enhance the practice of management in mainland China by strengthening the research skills of the management scholars in mainland China.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS:
¨ Intense learning opportunities with a team of 12 internationally recognized scholars in management research.
¨ Individualized developmental feedback by the faculty on promising manuscripts by the program participants.
¨ Review of major research method topics including theory building, research design, construct development and measurement, lab experiment, survey research, secondary-data research, case study and qualitative research.
¨ All research topics will be discussed in the context of exemplary empirical studies, many of which were conducted using Chinese samples on issues particularly relevant for Chinese organizations.
¨ Abundant built-in group discussions among the faculty and participants to stimulate ideas and promote joint research ideas.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
¨ Must have a demonstrative interest and experience in management research.
¨ Must be currently affiliated with a university or research institute in mainland China. Applicants outside mainland China are also welcome. But due to funding agency constraint, the numbers of places for such applicants are limited to no more than 20% of the total number of applicants admitted.
¨ Must have a PhD or currently enrolled in a PhD program in a reputable institution.
¨ Proficiency in reading, listening to, and speaking English and Putonghua.
