Call for Submissions| International Conference and Paper Development Workshop on”Research Paradigms in Management Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”
(October 23–25, 2026 · Changsha, China)
Artificial intelligence (AI) is penetrating all sectors of economy and society with unprecedented depth and breadth, profoundly reshaping the research paradigms of management science – from the logical starting point of theory building, to the methodological system of empirical research, and further to the organizational forms of knowledge production and dissemination. All are facing opportunities and challenges of systemic transformation. Against this backdrop, we cordially invite you to participate in the International Conference and Paper Development Workshop on “Research Paradigms in Management Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. Co-organized by the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), the Academy of Management (AoM), and Hunan University, and hosted by the Business School of Hunan University, the conference will be held in Changsha, Hunan Province, China from October 23 to 25, 2026.
This conference aims to provide a high-level academic exchange platform for management scholars around the world to discuss paradigm shifts, theoretical innovations and methodological breakthroughs in management science research in the AI era. A special Paper Development Workshop (PDW) will be organized, featuring senior editors and scholars from several flagship journals of AoM – including the Academy of Management Journal (AMJ), Academy of Management Review (AMR), and Academy of Management Perspectives (AMP) – who will offer one‑on‑one in‑depth feedback and guidance to selected papers, helping outstanding research move toward high‑impact international journals. We especially welcome research proposals that are not yet fully mature but have strong potential, so that they can be polished from multiple journal perspectives during the workshop.

Professor Xu Huang (IACMR Vice President), Hong Kong Baptist University
