1. 2026 IACMR Research Methods Workshop Successfully Held
From June 28 to July 2, the 2026 IACMR Research Methods Workshop, jointly organized by the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) and the College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (Department of Strategy and Innovation & Entrepreneurship and Department of Human Resource Management), was successfully held at the College of Business, Shanghai University of Finance and Economics.
More than 100 distinguished scholars, early-career researchers, and doctoral students from universities in China and abroad gathered for five days of intensive coursework, thematic discussions, and academic exchange. Participants explored theories and methodologies in management research and shared the latest research findings and practical insights.
2. IACMR Research Seminar Series #61 and #62
The 61st IACMR Research Seminar was successfully held via Zoom from 9:00 to 10:15 a.m. (Beijing Time) on July 22, 2026. Jiyin Cao of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen delivered a Chinese-language talk titled “Wealthy Networks, Relative Mindsets: How the Social Class of One’s Connections Shapes Unethical Behavior.” The seminar was moderated by Hengchen Dai of UCLA.
The 62nd IACMR Research Seminar will be held via Zoom from 1:00 to 2:15 p.m. (Beijing Time) on September 23, 2026. Professor Ruth Aguilera of Northwestern University will deliver an English talk titled “The Corporate Governance of AI vs the AI of Corporate Governance: A Cross-National Perspective.” The seminar will be moderated by Professor Shuping Li of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. 3. Updates on Preparations for the 2027 IACMR Conference
The International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) will launch its inaugural DBA (Doctor of Business Administration) Forum as an important part of the 12th IACMR Biennial Conference, to be held in Hong Kong from June 2 to 6, 2027.
The forum invites paper submissions from current students and graduates of DBA programs. Submitters are expected to have made a substantial contribution to the submitted work. Selected papers will receive opportunities for presentation, developmental feedback, and academic exchange. Please click here for more information about the DBA Forum.
At the same time, the IACMR Biennial Conference is expected to bring together more than 1,700 participants from around the world and will feature a rich and diverse academic program, including presentations of cutting-edge research, keynote speeches, panel discussions, poster sessions, professional development workshops, and extensive networking and social activities.

5. Call for Application | 2026 IACMR “The Scholarship and Methods of Teaching” Workshop
The workshop will be held from November 20 to 22, 2026, at Wuhan University of Technology (Nanhu Campus). The registration deadline is September 30, 2026. Please click here for detailed registration requirements.
6. IACMR Teaching & Learning Forum Session 12
The 12th IACMR Teaching and Learning Forum was successfully held via Zoom from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. (Beijing Time) on August 27, 2026. This Chinese session, titled “Can You Beat a Robot? — A Creativity Showdown Between Humans and Large Language Models,” featured Professor Dawei Wang of The University of Hong Kong as the speaker and Professor Song Wang of Zhejiang University as the moderator.
