1. 2020 IACMR Xi′an Conference
IACMR 2020 Xi’an Conference system was open for paper and symposium submissions on September 17. Thanks to the great support from the IACMR members, we have received over 865 submissions by the deadline of mid-night Oct. 16 (US Eastern Time), which is a new record of our conferences! In addition, over 610 members have registered to be reviewers. Now the track chairs are preparing to assign papers to reviewers and the review process will last until early December. Authors will be notified of acceptances or rejections by in February, 2020.
In addition to paper and symposium presentations in the Scholarly Program, the Professional Development Workshops (PDWs) will be held on June 21, 2020, the last day of the conference. Now we are calling for PDW submissions (click here for details). The submission Deadline is midnight November 20, 2019 (U.S. Eastern Standard Time).
2. Call for Nominations for Distinguished Scholarly Contribution Award 2020
IACMR would like to invite all members of IACMR to submit nominations for the Distinguished Scholarly Contribution Award. This award is given out every two years, in recognition of a scholar who has devoted much of their career to the study of Chinese management and has made significant contributions to the theory, methods, or practice of Chinese management. Winners are recognized leaders in the field who have enhanced the visibility of Chinese management research in the global community and inspired other researchers. Please click here for detailed nomination requirements and procedures. The nomination deadline is November 1, 2019.
3. Third (2019-2020) Annual “Responsible Research in Management” Award Call for Nominations
The IACMR-RRBM “Responsible Research in Management” Award was created in 2017. Responsible research is defined as studies that produce both credible and useful knowledge. Credibility refers to the reliability and validity or trustworthiness of the findings, in either inductive or deductive work, using either qualitative or quantitative data, or both. Usefulness refers to the potential of the knowledge to inform policies and practices. The purpose of responsible research is to encourage methodologically rigorous and societally beneficial studies, which contributes knowledge with the potential to make the world a better place.
