RRBM Newsletter: Supporting and recognizing RRBM initiatives
Dear RRBM Colleagues & Friends, The RRBM community continues to inspire and gain momentum with growing awareness of the global community that supports RRBM. Education is a founding stone for future prosperity in the world and we must all continue to have a strong and commanding voice in higher education for research that serves both society and the science of our profession.
The world seems to take one positive step forward and then sadly two backwards, as COVID is not over and we have a devastating & tragic war ongoing in Europe. Our hearts go out to all those involved and we pray for a ceasefire and resolution as quickly as possible. We support the recent joint announcement by our founding partners AACBS and EFMD Global in solidarity with Ukrainian business schools and their staff, faculty, and students and the people of Ukraine as they defend their way of life and sovereignty.
We would like to focus on two outstanding RRBM initiatives that deserve full support and recognition. The first is 2022 Responsible Research Summit that will be hosted (face-to-face) on June 6-7 at the The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and is kindly sponsored by Wharton and INSEAD. Registration is now OPEN and we urge you to join us. If you are unable to attend then please do share the Summit information with colleagues, faculty members, Deans etc as it will be an inspiring two days to connect, re-connect, share & exchange.
Secondly, we are delighted to announce the winners of the 2022 RRBM Dare to Care Dissertation Scholarships, which have been awarded to seven outstanding young scholars focusing their research on economic inequality, racial, gender or other forms of social justice in organizations, thereby contributing to meeting one or more of the United Nation’s SDGs. We hope that the Dare to Care Scholarship programme continues to grow and helps support and develop a future generations of scholars who will fly the flag for the principles and values of the RRBM community. If your school is interested in supporting the scholarship programme in the future please do let us know. How can you help RRBM? RRBM is growing with endorsers and partner schools but our most pressing issue is amplifying the “Voice & Values of RRBM”. We call on your support and help with this process, as it is not something that the Working Board can do alone. Can we please kindly ask that you share this newsletter with faculty, deans, research directors, PhD candidates, supervisors, editors, journal contacts, wider stakeholders etc. If you have a Social Media presence please share on Twitter & post on LinkedIN using @RRBMnetwork and tagging RRBM We greatly thank you for your ongoing support & engagement with the RRBM community and hope to see many of you at the Wharton Summit in June.
Warm regards,
Matthew Wood, on behalf of the RRBM Working Board
