Teaching and Learning Conference@ IACMR 2025

Three exciting concurrent sessions will be taken place at IACMR 2025 Teaching and Learning Conference. Participants can only choose one session. All three sessions will be delivered in Chinese. To ensure the depth of engagement and the seriousness of participation in TLC, registration for this session must be completed at the same time as the main conference registration (no additional fee is required).

Xin WEI, Renmin University of China

Xin Wei is a professor at School of Labor and Human Resources and the Director of Institute of Human Resources and Leadership at Renmin University of China. She currently serves as a member of the Education Committee of IACMR, a member of the editorial boards of journals including Asia Pacific Journal of Management and Quarterly Journal of Management, and as an associate editor of the Journal of Economics and Management. Her research focuses on organizational management in the context of human-AI collaboration, new forms of employment, conflict and voice behavior, creativity and innovation. Her work has been published in Journal of Applied Psychology, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology, Management and Organization Review, Management World (In Chinese), among other outlets. Prof. Wei has been the PI of three research grants supported by Natural Science Foundation of China and two research grants supported by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Social Science Foundation. She was awarded the Beijing Excellent Young Talent (in 2021) and the Best Paper Award of the 5th Biennial Conference of IACMR. Prof. Wei has taught multiple courses and workshops in Chinese and/or English for undergraduate, master, doctoral, MBA, and executive students. She has served as the chief or co-chief editor for three textbooks. She has won the second prize and Best Presentation Award of Young Faculty Teaching Competition, and the Bilingual Teaching Excellence Award at UIBE.

Speakers’ profiles:

Wei Feng is a Professor of Management and a Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Economics and Management, Tongji University. He is also the Director of the Global Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute and the Head of the Department of Organization Management. Dr. Wei graduated with a PhD in Management School from Fudan University. He previously served as a Research Fellow at Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business and China Europe International Business School. He visited the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia and the Center for Creative Leadership in the United States and was selected for the Shanghai Pujiang Talent Program. He serves as an Editorial Board Member of Management and Organization Review、Management Quarterly and Human Resource Management Review. His main research areas are strategic leadership and entrepreneurial innovation networks. He has published over 100 Chinese and English papers in journals such as the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Management Studies, Human Relations, Management World, and the Journal of Management Sciences in China, and is recognized as an ESI Highly Cited and Hot Paper author. He primarily teaches courses in Human Resource Management and Organizational Behavior, advocating for experiential teaching, continuously innovating teaching materials, and introducing forms such as dragon boat racing, rowing, and film appreciation into the classroom. More than 10 cases he developed have been included in the case libraries of Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, China Europe International Business School, and the China Management Case Sharing Center. He has received awards such as the National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases, the Excellent Teaching Achievement Award from the China Human Resources Development Research Association, and the Shanghai Philosophy and Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award, among other teaching accolades.

Guanglei Zhang is a professor and Associate Dean at the School of Management of Wuhan University of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 2010, worked as a postdoctoral researcher at South China University of Technology, and has been teaching at the School of Management of Wuhan University of Technology since 2012. He currently serves as a member of the Education Committee of IACMR, a director of the Chinese Human Resources Development Research Association, the vice president of the Hubei Human Resources Society.

In his research, Prof. Zhang focuses on Collectivism-oriented human resource practices, dirty work in the Chinese context, and positive leadership. His research findings have been published in Academy of Management Journal(UTD-24),Information Systems Research(UTD-24),Human Resource Management(FT-50),and a number of Chinese academic journals. His research teams have received grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) for one key project, two general projects.Prof. Zhang has taught different courses for undergraduate and postgraduate, such as salary management. And he won the first prize of the third national college teachers ‘ teaching innovation competition and the first prize of the ninth Hubei college teaching achievement award.

Mo Shenjiang is currently a Professor in the Department of Leadership and Organization Management at the School of Management, Zhejiang University, and serves as the Associate Dean of Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS). His research focuses on business ethics, leadership, organizational behavior, and social responsibility, with a particular emphasis on emerging ethical and managerial challenges under the context of digitalization.

He has led or participated in seven projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. He holds editorial roles as Associate Editor for Applied Psychology: An International Review and Australian Journal of Management, and serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of Organizational Behavior and Quarterly Journal of Management (in Chinese). Additionally, he chairs the Academic Achievement Award Committee of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) and is a standing council member of the China Enterprise, Management, and Ethics Forum.

His research has been published in top-tier journals such as Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes (OBHDP), Journal of Organizational Behavior (JOB), Journal of Business Ethics (JBE), International Journal of Human Resource Management (IJHRM), Journal of Vocational Behavior (JVB), Management World (in Chinese), and Acta Psychologica Sinica (in Chinese). His accolades include the 9th Outstanding Achievement Award for Humanities and Social Sciences (Youth Category) and the Second Prize of the 21st Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Science Achievement Award.

In teaching, his course “Ethics and Social Responsibility” has been recognized as a Zhejiang Provincial First-Class Undergraduate Course and a Provincial Model Course for Ideological and Political Education. It has also been listed multiple times as a “National Management Case Teaching Excellence Course”. As a core contributor, he received the 2022 National Teaching Achievement Award (Postgraduate Education) First Prize, the highest honor in Chinese higher education.

Speakers’ profiles

Weiru CHEN is an Associate Professor of China-Europe International Business School (CEIBS).  He received his Ph.D. in strategic management at Purdue University in the US, and served as strategy professor at INSEAD, France and Singapore. He was Chief Strategy Officer at Alibaba Cainiao Network.  His research centered at innovation strategy and has published on AMJ, SMJ, OS, RP. He received Teaching Excellence Award at CEIBS, INSEAD, and Purdue University.  Prof. Chen published bestseller books on Platform Strategy. In 2017, he was selected as one of the “World management thinkers most likely to shape the future of how organizations are managed and led” in the Thinkers50 Radar List.

Jizhen LI is a Professor of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (SEM). Jizhen is also the associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM. He holds a PhD (2002) in Management Science, an MA in Management Science, and BE (1997) both in Automobile Engineering and Industrial Engineering from Tsinghua University. He visited MIT Sloan School of Management as an International Faculty Fellow for half a year in 2006. He is also vice director at the Research Centre for Technological Innovation, Tsinghua University. He teaches courses such as Management of Technological Innovation, Innovation Research Seminar, Technological Entrepreneurship and Project Management. His research interests include management of technological innovation, strategic management and project management. As Principal Investigator, he has finished or is working on many projects, include six research projects funded by NSF of China. His research has appeared in Administrative Science Quarterly, Information and Management, International Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Management, Management Science, Research Policy, R&D Management, and Strategic Management Journal.

Aiqi Wu is a Professor of School of Management, Zhejiang University. He is also the Associate director of Academy of Global Zheshang Entrepreneurship and academic director of ZJU EFP + SMU DBA Program. His research centered at innovation, entrepreneurship and strategic management, and were published on Journal of World Business, International business Review and Journal of Management World. As principal investigator, he has finished or is working on many research projects. He focuses on developing connections between academia and practice and has authored books on business practices. He received several teaching and research awards by the government, academic organizations and journals.

Weiguo Zhong is an Associate Professor of the Department of Organization and Strategic Management at Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. He is also the Deputy Director of the Department, the Director of the Institute of Strategic Studies at Peking University, recipient of the National Natural Science Foundation of China’s Outstanding Youth Science Fund, and one of the first batch of young scholars in the “Peking University Guanghua Sunrise East” program. His main research areas include industrial and regional innovation policies, digital economy, enterprise innovation strategies, and internationalization of developing country enterprises. More than 60 research works have been published in various internationally and domestically renowned academic journals, including Management World, AMJ, SMJ, and JIBS. He has presided over and participated in more than 10 important scientific research projects, including 1 national key research and development plan, 1 major project, 1 key special project, and 2 key projects. He has won numerous scientific research achievement awards, such as the first prize of the 9th Higher Education Science Research Excellent Achievement Award of the Ministry of Education, the Emerald/IACMR China Management Research Excellence Award (2 times), and the first prize of the Jiangsu Philosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievement Award. In terms of teaching, he has taught Principles of Management and Strategic Management courses for undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, MBA, ExED, EMBA, DBA and other programs at Peking University, and received high praise from students.

Speakers’ profiles:

Guiyao Tang is a professor and the associate dean at the School of Management, Shandong University, and serves as the Executive Dean of the Shandong Institute of Talent Development Strategy. She obtained her Ph.D. from Hong Kong Baptist University in 2011. Her research fields cover strategic human resource management, leadership, talent development strategy and policies. Prof. Tang has published more than 80 papers in high-level academic journals, including Management World, Nankai Business Review, Journal of Management Science, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Resource Management, Journal of Business Ethics, and sub-journals of Nature..She has been the PI of one major project funded by the National Social Science Fund of China, three research grants supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, one youth project of the National Social Science Fund of China, and provincial and ministerial-level projects., such as major research topics of the Shandong Provincial Development and Reform Commission and key projects of the Office of the Shandong Provincial decision-making Advisory Committee. Prof. Tang has taught courses like Human Resource Management to undergraduate students, postgraduate students, MBA students, etc. She won the Excellent Teacher Award and Young Teaching Expert Award from Shandong University.

Wei Zeng is an Associate Professor at the School of Business, Hunan University, and a member of the Education Committee of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR). She has led a National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) General Program project and a National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) Youth Project, the latter receiving an outstanding final evaluation and being included in the Selected Compilation of National Social Science Fund Achievements. She has also directed two provincial-level social science fund projects and published extensively in leading international and domestic journals, including the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Research, Chinese Journal of Management Science, and Economic Perspectives. Dr. Zeng is the course leader of the national-level online demonstration course Human Resource Management for MBA students and has spearheaded initiatives such as the “National Excellence in Management Case Teaching” program and exemplary projects under the “University-Enterprise Cooperation Double Hundred Plan” at the Higher Education Expo China. She also leads a provincial-level university-enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship education base. Several of her authored cases have been recognized among “National Top 100 Cases”, included in the collections of Harvard Business Publishing, Ivey Publishing, and the Global Platform of China Cases, and distributed globally. Her teaching excellence has earned her the “Outstanding Teacher Award” from Hunan University and First Prize in the Hunan Provincial Teaching Competition for Higher Education Faculty.

Meijuan Luo is an Associate Professor at the School of Management, Guangdong University of Technology, and the Director of the MBA Education Center. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration and specializes in teaching, research, and case development in the fields of entrepreneurship education and business model innovation.

Dr. Luo teaches several courses at the university, including the MBA courses Entrepreneurship Management (a provincial-level graduate demonstration course) and Practical Organizational Innovation, as well as undergraduate courses such as Entrepreneurship Management (a national first-class offline course) and Entrepreneurial Thinking and Action  (a provincial-level demonstration course for employment and entrepreneurship). As the lead instructor, she won the Second Prize in the Second National Teaching Innovation Competition for University Faculty, the Grand Prize in the Guangdong Provincial Competition, and the Grand Prize at Guangdong University of Technology. Two courses she co-developed were recognized as national first-class undergraduate courses, and a textbook she co-authored received funding from the National Publication Fund in 2018. In 2024, she was awarded the “Teaching and Mentoring Award” by Guangdong University of Technology.

Song Wang is a Professor at School of Management, Zhejiang Universit, academic director of the MBA entrepreneurship management program‌, education committee member of IACMR‌. Her current research interests focus on social networking in digital contexts and innovation in the integrated circuit industry‌‌. Her publications appear in Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Vocational Behavior, etc. She has earned the Best Paper Award of Organizational Behavior Divisionat AOM and the Second Prize in the Zhejiang Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Outstanding Achievement Award. ‌She has also demonstrated excellence in teaching, earning the First Prize in the Young Scholars’ Teaching Competition in Zhejiang Province and the Award for Teaching Excellence of Zhejiang University.
