IACMR / MOR Artificial Intelligence Guidelines
December 5, 2025
The International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) and its flagship journal Management and Organization Review (MOR) have the following guidelines regarding the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) for all submission to MOR and IACMR Biannual Meeting.
Artificial Intelligence (AI): Work submitted to MOR and IACMR biannual meetings must be created by the authors. While AI tools may be used in different stages of a research process (e.g., literature search, data collection, data treatment and analysis, grammar checking, copyediting, writing polishing), AI tools cannot be listed as an author of a paper.
For MOR Submissions: Authors should be transparent in disclosing AI use in different stages of the research process. Please describe such use in the cover letter of the manuscript and in the article acknowledgements. Effective Immediately.
For IACMR Meeting Submissions: Authors should be transparent in disclosing AI use in different stages of the research process. Please indicate such use on the title page (first page) of the uploaded manuscript. Effective for the submissions to the 2027 Biannual Meeting.
The Guidelines may evolve further as we work with our publishing partners to understand how emerging technologies can help or hinder the process of preparing research for publication.
For Authors
Authors are required to:
- Verify the accuracy, validity, and integrity of the submitted work. Any content generated by large language models (LLM) should be checked and corrected if there are any errors or inconsistencies.
- Be conscious of the potential for plagiarism where the LLM may have reproduced substantial text from other sources. Check the original sources to be sure you are not plagiarizing someone else’s work.
- Citations: Authors should cite their AI use as outlined within the Chicago Manual of style. See https://www.chicagomanualofstyle.org/qanda/data/faq/topics/Documentation/faq0422.html
For Editors and Reviewers
- Editors and reviewers should evaluate and ensure that the generated content is accurate and valid.
- Editors and reviewers must uphold the confidentiality of the peer review process and ensure appropriate data security.
