1. Call for Papers | International Conference and Paper Development Workshop on “Research Paradigms in Management Science in the Age of AI”
Artificial intelligence (AI) is penetrating every sector of the economy and society with unprecedented depth and breadth, fundamentally reshaping research paradigms in management science—from the logical foundations of theory building, to empirical methodologies, and to the organizational forms of knowledge production and dissemination. All these dimensions face both opportunities and challenges of systemic transformation. Against this backdrop, we cordially invite you to participate in the International Conference and Paper Development Workshop on “Research Paradigms in Management Science in the Age of Artificial Intelligence.” This conference is jointly organized by the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR), the Academy of Management (AoM), and Hunan University, and hosted by the Business School of Hunan University. It will be held from October 23 to 25, 2026, in Changsha, Hunan, China. Please click here for more information about the workshop.
2. Inaugural Editorial Team Meeting for AOM’s New Journal, Academy of Management Inside Organizations, Successfully Held at Peking University’s Guanghua School of Management
From May 30 to 31, 2026, the inaugural in-person editorial team meeting of the Academy of Management’s newly launched journal, Academy of Management Inside Organizations, was successfully held at the Guanghua School of Management, Peking University.
The meeting was organized by Professor Yuntao Dong of the Department of Organization and Strategy at Guanghua School of Management and led by AMIO Editor-in-Chief Professor Zhike Lei of the International Institute for Management Development (IMD) in Lausanne, Switzerland. It brought together AMIO’s Editor-in-Chief and Associate Editors from leading universities around the world. The meeting marked an important milestone in the launch and development of AMIO and represented a significant development for the Academy of Management, one of the world’s leading academic associations in the field of management.
3. In Memoriam: Professor Dean William Tjosvold
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Professor Dean William Tjosvold, who passed away peacefully in Minneapolis on June 5, 2026, at the age of 81. Please click here to learn more about the life and legacy of Professor Dean William Tjosvold.
