1. Report on the 2025 IACMR Biennial Conference in Xi’an

The 2025 IACMR Biennial Conference opened on June 11 with great success. The theme of this year’s conference was Empowering Sustainable Growth in a Digital Age and it was hosted by the School of Management at Northwestern Polytechnical University. The event featured 170 academic sessions, including 5 keynote speeches, 10 Symposiums, 49 roundtable sessions and 95 paper presentations, and 21 paper development workshops (PDWs).

Continuing the tradition, the 10th IACMR Biennial Conference provided comprehensive faculty recruitment services for business and management schools from China and abroad. By serving as a platform for information exchange, IACMR aims to support academic and research institutions in publishing their hiring needs and connecting them with suitable talent. 2. Call for Papers | The 8th (2025) Philosophy of Management Research Workshop

The 8th IACMR Philosophy of Management Research Workshop will be held on December 4–8, 2025, at Dalian University of Technology. Click the links to view the full Call for Papers and Program Schedule.

3. The 55th IACMR Research Seminar

The 55th session of the IACMR Research Seminar Series will be held via Zoom on August 27, 2025, from 9:00 to 10:15 AM (Beijing Time). The topic is “We’re One of a Kind: Inflated Asset Specificity Perceptions and the Emergence of Core Rigidities.” The speaker is Professor Russell Coff from the University of Wisconsin–Madison, and the session will be moderated by Professor Wei He from Nanjing University.

4. IACMR-MOR Doctoral Course Announcement

The second edition of the ““Phenomenon-based Theorizing in Chinese Management Research” co-organized by IACMR and Management and Organization Review (MOR) is about to begin. This course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to conduct cutting-edge, in-depth, and meaningful research in the Chinese context, while also contributing significantly to the global management literature.
The course is free for paid IACMR members who have completed their first year of doctoral studies. Application deadline is August 15, 2025, please click here to learn more.

To promote the mission of Management and Organization Review (MOR) to become “the premier journal for ground-breaking insights about management and organizations in China and global comparative contexts” and to inspire scholars to develop indigenous theories and explore interesting phenomena and research questions within the Chinese context, IACMR and MOR are jointly organizing the 4th Paper Development Workshop (PDW) on December 19–20, 2025, at the School of Business, Guangxi University, Nanning, China.
