• IACMR News

1. IACMR 2023 Hong Kong Conference Submission System Closed
The IACMR conference paper submission system has been closed at 0:00 am of October 24, 2022, Beijing time. The conference received more than 800 papers from all over the world. The track chairs will then arrange paper reviews and notification of acceptance results will be sent before 12:00 on February 21, 2023. IACMR 2023 Professional Development Workshop (PDW) will keep open for submission until Nov. 21, 2022

2.IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series Session #14-15

The 14th session of IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series was held on October 18, this session was the 3rd session of IACMR-Wiley Webinar Series: Publishing Successfully on International Management Journals, and the theme was “Meet Editor in Chief of R&D Management – Peer Reviewing in Management Journals”, the speaker was Professor Alberto Di Minin from Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, Italy and Ms. Qingqing Xiao from Wiley. Professor Lynda Jiwen Song from University of Leeds chaired this session. Please click here for the recording. 

The 15th IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series will be held on November 8, the theme of this session is How to Manage an Academic Career delivered by Professor Yan Anthea Zhang from Rice University, Professor Zhi-Xue Zhang, president of IACMR will chair the webinar. 3.IACMR Research Seminar Series Session #28-29

The topic of the 28th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was Virtually Possible: Understanding Remote Work and Its Implications for Work and Life, this session of seminar was held successfully on September 28, the speaker was Dr. Jia (Jasmine) Hu from the Ohio State University, Professor Ning Li from Tsinghua University and Professor Wu Liu from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University hosted the seminar, please click here for the recording.

The 29th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was held on October 26 and the title was Bridge over Troubled Waters? Inter-state Political Conflicts, Types of Corporate Political Ties and International Joint Ventures, the speaker was Professor Xiaowei Rose Luofrom INSEAD, Professor Eric Zhao hosted this seminar. 4. 2022 IACMR “The Scholarship and Methods of Teaching” Workshop postponed

The 3rd IACMR “The Scholarship and Methods of Teaching” Workshop, scheduled for October 28-30 at Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, has been postponed due to the COVID-19 epidemic, and the new date is to be determined.

5. The fifth Philosophy of Management Research Workshop held successfully

The fifth IACMR “Philosophy of Management Research” Teacher Training Workshop (PMR2022) hosted by the School of Management of Huazhong University of Science and Technology was successfully held in Wuhan from August 11-15 in hybrid form of online and onsite. The five-day workshop was designed to provide training for teachers who wish to teach Philosophy of Management Research courses. 28 teachers from 20 universities in China participated in the workshop, please click here to see the workshop report in Chinese.

2.  MOR Special Issue PDW Held 
MOR Special Issue ‘Chinese Technology Ventures in the Digital Era’ Paper Development Workshop was held online on October 13, 2022. Dr. Tian Wei of Fudan University hosted this PDW, all the guest editors including Tian Wei of Fudan University, Li-Qun Wei of Hong Kong Baptist University, Franz W. Kellerman of University of North Carolina – Charlotte, Taiyuan Wang of CEIBS and Igor Filatotchev of King’s College London participated this PDW and each of them led a paralleled session. Prof. Xiao- Ping Chen, the Editor in Chief of MOR did the Opening address.
