In 2023, the IACMR Board of Governors, Executive Committee and our members continue to focus on promoting the mission of Chinese management research and teaching. 2. 2025 IACMR Conference Call for Submissions
The 11th Biennial Conference of the International Association for Chinese Management Research (IACMR) will be held in Xi’an, China, from June 11-15, 2025. We warmly invite scholars in the field of management who are engaged in China-related research to actively submit conference papers. Submission System Open: Midnight September 15, 2024, U.S. Eastern Standard Time，Submission Deadline: Midnight October 25, 2024, U.S. Eastern Standard Time. 3. IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series Session #18
The 18th IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series (in Chinese) was held on December 27, the language of this session was Chinese and the theme is 从拒稿到发表：探索组织行为学研究的投稿之路, the speaker was Professor Jia (Jasmine) Hu from Tsinghua University and Ohio State University, Professor Xin Wei from Renmin University of China hosted the seminar.
4. IACMR Research Seminar Series Session #42-43
The topic of the 42nd session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was Unleashing Potential: Nurturing Proactivity in the Workplace, this session of seminar was held successfully on November 22, the speaker was Professor Chia-Huei Wu from King’s College London and Professor Wu Liu from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University hosted the seminar, please click here for the recording.
The 43rd session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was held on December 20 and the title was Firms’ Rhetorical Nationalism: Theory, Measurement, and Evidence from a Computational Analysis of Chinese Public Firms, the speaker was Professor Lori (Qingyuan) Yue from Columbia Business School, Professor Cuili Qian hosted this seminar.
5. IACMR Teaching & Learning Forum Session 4
The 4th IACMR Teaching & Learning Forum was successfully held on November 24, Professor Song Wang from Zhejiang University delivered the seminar, the title of her seminar was ‘从传授者到引导者：建构主义视角下MBA教学模式创新探索’ in Chinese, Professor Wei Zeng from Hunan University hosted it. • Management and Organization Review (MOR) Updates
1. Call for Papers: The Inaugural MOR Paper Development Workshop
To promote the mission of Management and Organization Review (MOR) to become “the premier journal for ground-breaking insights about management and organizations in China and global comparative contexts” and to inspire scholars to develop indigenous theories and explore interesting phenomena and research questions within the Chinese context, IACMR and MOR are jointly organizing the 1st Paper Development Workshop (PDW) on June 15-16, 2024, at the Business School, Hunan University, Changsha, China.
