  • IACMR 2023 Hong Kong Conference Submission Opening Soon

IACMR’s 10th biennial meeting will take place from June 14th to 18th, 2023 in Hong Kong, China, hosted by Hong Kong Baptist University. 

The submission link will be posted on IACMR website by September 16, 2022. It will be closed at midnight October 23, 2022, U.S. Eastern Standard Time. Submissions for the Professional Development Workshop must be received by midnight November 20, 2022. Please pay attention to the updates of IACMR website and WeChat account as well as emails to ensure that your submissions are received and reviewed.

  • IACMR 2023 Conference Reviewer Invitation

In addition to submitting your own paper(s) to the conference, we invite you to serve as a reviewer as well. You may be asked to review two to four papers between November 1 and December 20 of 2022, depending on the total number of submissions. To recognize excellent service, we will give out ten (10) Best Reviewer Awards in each track at the Conference. If you are willing to serve as a reviewer for the conference, please click here for more information.

  • Report | 2022 IACMR Research Method Workshop

The 2022 IACMR Research Method Workshop was successfully held online from July 11 to 14. 122 PhD students and young teachers from 49 universities at home and abroad attended the workshop. You are welcomed to view the workshop reportparticipants’ feedbacks and the details of group discussion and presentation.

  • IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series Session #12-13

The 12th session of IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series was held on July 26, this is the 2nd session of IACMR-Wiley Webinar Series: Publishing Successfully on International Management Journals, and the theme is “Theorizing through Literature Reviews: Are you a Miner or a Prospector?”, the speaker was Professor Dermot Breslin from Rennes School of Business, France. The 13th IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series was held on August 30, the theme of this session was The Ethical Professor: A Discussion with Lorraine Eden, Kathy Lund Dean and Paul Vaaler, Professor Wei He from Nanjing University hosted this seminar, the speakers were 

Lorraine Eden (Texas A&M University), Kathy Lund Dean (Gustavus Adolphus College) and Paul Vaaler (University of Minnesota).

  • IACMR Research Seminar Series Session #26-27

The topic of the 26th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was Publishing Impactful Meta-Analysis and Handling the Revise-and-Resubmit Process at a Top Journal: The Case of Prosocial Motivation and Its Work Outcomes, the speaker was Dr. Rong Su from University of Iowa, please click here for the recording.

The 27th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was held on August 24 and the title was Herd Protection in Foreign Direct Investments: The Asymmetric Roles of State- and Non-state-owned Enterprises, the speaker was Professor Yan Anthea Zhang from Rice University.   • IACMR Teaching and Learning Forum session #6

The sixth session of IACMR Teaching and Learning Forum was held on August 18, 2022, the title of the talk was Constructing the Mental Flow in Class Teaching, the speaker was Professor Runtian Jing from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Professor Zhi-Xue Zhang from Peking University, the president of IACMR hosted the seminar, the summary of the talk is accessible here (in Chinese).

  • 2022 IACMR “The Scholarship and Methods of Teaching” Workshop

2022 IACMR “The Scholarship and Methods of Teaching” Workshop will be held from October 28 to 30 at School of Business Administration of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. This workshop is designed for faculty members with at least two years’ teaching experience in the field of management. Application for the workshop has been closed and the preparations are well in progress. 

  • IACMR- MOR Reception Held at 2022 AoM Meeting

IACMR-MOR held a Reception at the 2022 Academy of Management meeting in Seattle on Aug 6, 6:00 PM-7:30PM (Beijing Time: Aug 7, 9:00 AM-10:30AM). We updated the current state of IACMR and 2023 HK Conference, as well as many exciting developments with MOR. We’ll also announce MOR best editor awards, best reviewer awards, and MOR-WeChat editor awards.

In these interviews, the authors talk about the impetus for their article, the insights they gained, and future directions for their field of research. 4. MOR Special Issue Information Session
On July 17, 2022 at 7:00 pm, MOR held a special issue briefing to introduce the special issue “Understanding Contemporary Chinese MNES: Extending and Challenging International Business Theory” and explain the scope of topics. The deadline for the special issue is August 31, 2022.

13. Journal of World Business Special Issue Call for Papers
This Special Issue deals with an increasingly important yet so far understudied phenomenon in the IB literature: international business under sanctions. The focus of this Special Issue is on businesses affected by, and responding to, sanctions.
