• IACMR News

1. 2022 IACMR Research Methods Workshop Submission System Open

You are cordially invited to apply for the IACMR Research Methods Workshop to be held from July 11-14, 2022, at Lanzhou University, Lanzhou, China. The purposes of the workshop are to introduce the major research methods involved in designing a high-quality research project, to provide instructions on developing a research project that will make a meaningful contribution to knowledge and practice, and to build relationships with world-class management scholars. The 4-day program will consist of lectures and intensive discussion sessions for developing your research proposals. The workshop’s ultimate goal is to help develop research projects that will address important management problems and be publishable in international (English) academic journals. In addition to lectures, students/faculty with similar research interests will be put into the same discussion groups. Workshop participants will benefit from in-depth feedback and discussions of their proposal with the faculty advisors guiding the sessions and the other participants working in similar research areas. The submission system has been opened on December 20 2021! Submission deadline is March 5th 2022, and the acceptance results will be released before April 11th 2022, Please click here for submission!

2. 2023 IACMR Conference Calls for Submissions

IACMR’s 10th biennial meeting will take place from June 14th to 18th, 2023 in Hong Kong, China, hosted by Hong Kong Baptist University.  We invite scholars who work in the field of management, with a focus on China, to submit their work. Globalization in Flux: China and the World is the theme of the 2023 conference, and the submission deadline is Midnight October 23, 2022, U.S. Eastern Standard Time, please click here to view more detailed information.

3. IACMR Research Seminar Series Session 18-19

The 18th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was held at 9:00 a.m. on November 24, 2021. Professor Ning Li from Tsinghua University gave a speech which title is Breaking Organizational Silos: Examining the Effects of Intragroup Identification on Employee Cross-Group Collaborations, the language of the speech is Chinese, please click here for the video record.

The 19th session of IACMR Research Seminar Series was held online on December 15. Professor Kathleen Eisenhardt from Stanford University and Professor Ben Hallen of University of Washington gave the presentation themed as Do Investors Prefer Democratic or Republican CEOs? A Systematic Study of Shareholder Reactions to New CEOs’ Political Ideologies. Please click here for the video record.

4. IACMR Teaching and Learning Forum Session 2

The 2nd session of IACMR Teaching and Learning Forum was held on December 8, the speaker of this session was Professor Qingyuan (Lori) Yue from Columbia Business School, the theme of her speech was How to Teach Critical Thinking in Business Management. 5. IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series Session 8

The 8th session of the IACMR Young Scholar Development Seminar Series was held on November 30, 2021 via Zoom online. Professor Larry Farh from China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) gave a lecture on the topic of Chinese Culture and Organizational Behavior—My Journey of Learning and Thinking, sharing his experiences and insights since he has been engaged in organizational behavior research for more than 40 years.
